We invited choirs from across the Diocese to come to Church of the Sacred Heart to sing their favorite anthem/hymn. In honor of St. Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music, we shared an afternoon of prayer and song. Eight choirs (adult, children’s and handbell) shared some of their favorite anthems with each other and our guests.
Our final selection was a massed singing of Anton Bruckner’s Locus Iste for that day’s Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica.
